Purple smokey eyes for Christmas Eve. Photos by Paolo Garcia.
Baby steps! I now know how to do exactly one kind of evening look, which I’ll probably bust out some 5603 times more. Smokey eyes are easy to do because it’s basically a “sweep all over” concept and mistakes / over-patting basically is the point of a smokey look. My hair actually took longer to set (and then faster to fall away). My friends are so nice, I think they all know that I have this weird Chinese camera app on my tablet which I used to filter this picture but they were all so gracious in giving me hearts and thumbs up anyway. It must be the Christmas spirit, I love you. Haha.
Quick FX Tinted Moisturizer
The Body Shop x Lily Cole Pearl Radiance Primer
The Body Shop x Lily Cole Shimmer Cubes Palette 24 (Blended together Go Violet and Tint It Pink)
Fashion 21 Color Bar (I used the black shadow for the edges)
Nichido eye shadow in Gold Foil (for the tops and inner corners)
EB color pencil in black (but it pretty much disappeared after an hour so not using this again)
Maybelline The Magnum Volum Express mascara
Fashion 21 plain brown eyeshadow (as contour! someone give me legit cheek stuff haha). I think I also used this to fill in my eyebrows. KMN. This is not a legit makeup post hahahaha.
Revlon Colorstay Ultimate liquid lipstick in Maximum Mocha (stayed on like a b*tch and tasted yummy but was soooo drying. Layered carmex on top)
To set the look:
Maybelline Clear Smooth powder in Honey and BB cream around the eyes (Don’t ask me how but it kept the makeup from slipping)
